Beth Arlene Zobel, 94, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 30, 1931 in West Point, NE. The daughter of George R. and Ruth (Pittack) Steil. She married Marlin J. Zobel on August 2, 1953 at Cross Lutheran Church in Omaha, NE., and were happily married for 60 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sycamore, IL. Beth was a graduate of Concordia University of River Forest, IL. She was a Lutheran school teacher and taught at schools in TX, MI, NE, MO, IL. and most recently at Cross Lutheran School in Yorkville. She played the organ and piano, enjoyed singing and taught Sunday school for the church. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and birds.
She is survived by her four children, Suzanne Zobel, Mary (David) Buchholz, James (Carol) Zobel, and Karen (Steven) Hight; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis (Lyle) Kurth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marlin, her brother
