Daniel Dwayne Chesser, 68, of Sycamore, Ill., passed away peacefully Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Dan was born on July 4, 1956 to Homer Chesser and Onita Jewel (Snyder-Matherly) Chesser in DeKalb, Ill.
Dan married Julie (Wall) Chesser on September 28th, 1990 and had two sons, Jeremy and Joshua. Dan worked many jobs in his life's journey, from farm hand to automotive repair. He spent his last 28 years working at Driv-Lok Inc. in Sycamore.
Dan enjoyed taking his time hiking and going hunting in the great outdoors. He was naturally a firearms collector as well and was proud of what he had collected and maintained through the years. In his free time, Dan would listen to his stereo and would decide on new or old equipment to add to his set up. Dan was proud of where he was from and often collected DeKalb County history and memorabilia. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Sycamore.
