Betty A. Pakenham, 97, of Earlville, IL passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at The Pavilion of Ottawa. She was born January 9, 1928 in Ottawa, IL the daughter of Leslie and Laura (Jordan) Scott. Betty married Justin J. Pakenham on September 1, 1945 in Ottawa, IL. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville, IL. Justin and Betty were boating enthusiasts with their many friends. When getting together with their friends and family they loved a good game of Bridge and Euchre. Most of all she enjoyed spending as much of her time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Janet Spencer of St. Augustine, FL, Bette Michie of Barrington, IL; her sons, Bob (Cathy) Pakenham of Lisle, IL, Bill (Alice) Pakenham of Earlville, IL, Four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Justin; her daughters, Mary Ann and Joyce; one son, Jim and one brother, Bill Scott.
