Phyllis Salemi Born: April 3, 1948 in Bloomington, IL Died: February 23, 2025 in Tampa, FL Phyllis Salemi died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, in Tampa, FL at the age of 76. Born April 3, 1948, in Bloomington, IL, to John and Dorothy Pyne, Phyllis was the second oldest of four siblings, Edward Pyne, Steve Pyne and Tom Pyne, all raised on a farm in Lexington, IL. She attended Lexington High School, graduating in 1966. In 1983, Phyllis married Louis Salemi, and they worked many years side-by-side as insurance agents running their own Allstate Insurance office on Route 23 in DeKalb, IL. They eventually retired and moved to Florida where they lived for nearly 20 years in Longboat Key. Phyllis had two children from a previous marriage, Shelley and Brad Spencer. Known for her kindness and humor, Phyllis was cherished by family and friends alike. She is survived by her husband Louis of 42 years, her children, Shelley Spencer and Brad (Eileen) Spencer, her stepchildren Gina (John) Karvel
