Steven Edward Owen, age 46 of Mendota, IL passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. He was born on November 10, 1978 in Sandwich, IL the son of Amy (Lathrop) Mast and William (Lori) Mast Jr, and biological father Lyle Owen. Steven was formerly employed in the maintenance department of an agriculture business. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his step parents, William (Lori) Mast Jr, of Sandwich, IL; his sister, Christina (Timothy) Childress of Morris, IL; his brothers, Jason Mast and William Mast III both of Earlville, IL; his two nieces, Makayla (Ryan) Elberts and Hailey Childress; his nephew, Connor Childress; also his amazing and loving cat, Maggie Moo. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Lyle Owen; his mother, Amy Mast; his grandparents, Shirley and William Mast Sr, Albert Lathrop, and Velma (Edward) Akers.
