Roger A. Scott Born: January 23, 1947 Died: February 23, 2025 Roger A. Scott, 78, of DeKalb, IL, left the loving embrace of his family on February 23, 2025, to claim his reward in the heavenly kingdom of his Lord and Savior. By God's grace, Roger enjoyed a lifetime of blessings with his family, his career, and his church. Born in DeKalb, IL, on January 23, 1947, Roger was the sixth and youngest son of Caroline and Elmer Scott. As a child, Roger greatly admired Roy Rogers and Buffalo Bill Cody; his fondness for these and other Wild West legends continued to grow throughout his life. In 1965, Roger graduated from Hot Springs High School in Arkansas and joined the United States Air Force. He served with US Air Force Intelligence at Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE, and Incirlik Air Base in Incirlik, Turkey. He earned an honorable discharge in 1968.
