Betty L. Jackson Born: May 11, 1930 in Genoa, IL Died: June 28, 2024 in Ligonier, PA Betty L. Jackson, 94, of Greensburg, PA. passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at Ligonier Gardens. Born May 11, 1930 in Genoa, IL, she was a daughter of the late George and Olga (Nelson) Lange and was raised by her adoptive parents, the late Joseph and Elizabeth Sester and family. Betty was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, and while growing up, she was a member of St. Catherine of Genoa Church, Genoa, IL. Along with her husband, Roy, they were McDonald's franchisees since 1972. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling all over the world. From an early age, she had been a tap dancer and regularly appeared on the "Saturday Night Barn Dance" broadcast in Chicago, earning her the nickname "Chicago's Shirley Temple." She spent several years teaching tap dancing, too, as well as teaching piano lessons. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to
