Frederic T. Zeller Born: October 31, 1942 Died: May 7, 2024 Frederic T. Zeller, 81, died on May 7th, 2024 at 9:20 am at Pavilion nursing home in Sandwich, IL. He was in hospice, as he was nearing his final days suffering with cancer. He was born in Kellogg, Idaho on October 31st, 1942, to Berthold and Nelda Zeller. The family moved to Leith, ND soon after he was born and settled on a farm 2 miles east and 2 miles south of Leith. He attended school in Leith, and attended his first 2 years of high school in Leith. Then, when the high school closed, he finished high school in Carson. He often said he was proud that he went to Leith High School. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force and was, for a time, stationed in Thule, Greenland as a fire fighter. After the Air Force, he started trucking, and then, because of a job opportunity, moved to Utica, Illinois and worked for Consolidated Freight until they disbanded.
