Norma Jean (Osmond) Swenson Born: February 28, 1927 Died: June 24, 2024 Norma Jean (Osmond) Swenson, 97, passed away on June 24, 2024 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1927 in Ottawa, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Osmond of Serena. She graduated from Serena High School in 1945 and in December married Clarion Swenson and they began farming in Somonauk. They were married nearly 77 years. Norma Jean was very talented and kept busy knitting, sewing, quilting, doing upholstery, Norwegian hardanger, flower gardening, and playing her organ. She was always ready to help on the tractor or "run for parts." She was proud to have worked over 30 years at the Sandwich Fair. She also was a school bus driver and she built and managed a thrift shop in Sandwich. She really enjoyed her many travels with her daughter.
